About Charleston, MO - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Charleston, Missouri serves as the county seat of Mississippi County and is home to about 6,000 people. It is the largest town near the Mississippi and Ohio River confluence – at least on the Missouri side. The history of this city dates back to 1805, and it was selected to serve as the county seat in 1845. This city is home to Charleston High School, which is well known for its athletic dominance as evidenced by its 11 State Boys’ Basketball Championship wins.  Charleston is located approximately 35 miles south of Cape Girardeau and 60 miles east of Poplar Bluff.

There are a variety of notable things to see and do when visiting Charleston. The most popular event in the community is the Charleston Dogwood-Azalea Festival, which is held each April when the azaleas and dogwoods are at their peak bloom. History and architecture enthusiasts alike often enjoy visiting the area because of the 200 historic homes located here, including Locust Place. Visitors looking for a little more relaxation might like to check out the Hair Express and Day Spa or Lila’s Hair. Golf enthusiasts also have several courses located in the vicinity, including Bootheel Golf Club in Sikeston and Dalhouse Golf Club in Cape Girardeau.

The Charleston area is known to experience four very different seasons throughout the year, which is quite common with cities in humid subtropical climate zones. HVAC repair and installation professionals recommend that Charleston residents invest in regular maintenance and servicing for their climate control systems to ensure that they will work properly when needed. During the summer, for example, temperatures often reach the 90s and are quite humid, so a central air conditioning unit is a necessity to stay comfortable. Likewise, with cold winter weather and the potential for freezing precipitation, it is also important to have a furnace or heat pump that is in good working condition.
